| About Us:
Maranatha! Music was founded in 1971 by Chuck Smith Sr. of Calvary Chapel to promote the “Jesus Music” his young hippie followers were writing and singing up and down the California coast. In the early years, Maranatha! Music was viewed as being on the fringe of what the established church felt was appropriate for church music.
Today, Maranatha! has become the most recognized and trusted name in churches across the nation and around the world. The Maranatha! “Dove” is also one of the most widely recognized logos in the world. Every week, multiple millions of Christians see the Maranatha! name on overheads and bulletins as they sing our songs. Each year M!M continues to introduce new songs and promote its classics to the church and will reactivate their participation in live arena and stadium events held across the nation. M!M has had the opportunity to further build tremendous brand loyalty and reputation through its worship leader training of the last ten years.
In the early 90’s, M!M was the only organization to offer workshops across the nation for church leaders from all denominations. These workshops were supported by music companies and service organizations such as Roland Corp., Yamaha, Taylor Guitars, Peavey, and many others.
Today, the 120,000 church “gate-keepers”, who attended M!M workshops look to Maranatha! as the leading source of worship products and services. The goodwill developed over the years has only grown taller, as the roots of M!M’s reputation have grown deeper in church leadership. Workshops programs are currently being developed for the 2008 season.
As a result, unlike any other brand in the world, Maranatha! has become synonymous with Christian music today. |
